Construction teams don't lack data — they lack a single place to see it. Project budgets live in one tool, receipts in another, purchase orders in a spreadsheet, and subcontractor insurance certificates in an inbox. By the time you've stitched it together, the picture is already out of date.

The new Reporting & Dashboards module in The ERP Experiment fixes that. It gives you one live dashboard across your whole site — and it does it the safe way.

    One dashboard, your whole site

Reporting & Dashboards reads across the data your ERP already holds and pulls it into a single view:

    • Projects & budgets — how many jobs are active, on hold or completed, and the total budget across them.
    • Captured documents & spend — what's been logged against each project by the document capture module.
    • Purchase orders & approvals — what's committed and where it sits in the approval chain.
    • Subcontractor compliance — who's on site and whether their insurance and CIS details are current.

Filter by project or date range to zero in on a single job or a single month, then export the report to CSV to drop into a spreadsheet or send to your accountant.

    Read-only by design

This is the part that matters. Reporting & Dashboards is strictly read-only. It reads your ERP data without ever touching posting logic — it cannot change a budget, edit a purchase order, or move a cost between jobs. That's deliberate.

In construction ERP, the dangerous bugs aren't in the screens — they're in the posting logic underneath. A reporting layer that can only read is the lowest-risk way to get more value from your data, which is exactly why it's one of the first modules we've built. You get the insight without putting your numbers at risk.

    It grows with you

You don't have to switch everything on at once. If you haven't started using document capture or purchase orders yet, those sections simply show as not yet active — the dashboard degrades gracefully rather than breaking. As each module starts recording data, its section lights up automatically. No setup, no migration, no waiting.

    One subscription, every module

Like the rest of the suite, Reporting & Dashboards is unlocked by the single ERP Experiment subscription — there's no separate per-module charge. Subscribe once from the ERP hub and reporting is available immediately, alongside every module we ship next.

Financial-statement-grade reporting — the kind your accountant signs off — arrives later with the month-end close module. Reporting & Dashboards is the everyday operational view: the one screen that tells you how your sites are actually doing, today.
